is it possible to add ads inside question list example after 3. or 4. question ?

Yes. Check Jatin's Simple Adverts plugin: https://github.com/q2amarket/q2am-simple-adverts

Edit: It seems the plugin only supports PHP 5.4+, although it mentions it supports PHP 5.3+. If using the older PHP version then try my fork: https://github.com/pupi1985/q2am-simple-adverts

That line uses the "new" array creation syntax. I guess you must be using PHP < 5.4, right?

You meant 5.3 rather than 4.3, right? Plugin claims to support 5.3+ but it doesn't. It supports 5.4+. I've forked the project and changed the array constructors. Check the new link in the answer. Redownload it, test it and report back (I don't have such an old version of PHP installed at the moment)
