Question for theme developers

Hi.

I am interested in developing themes, but I was wondering: When you made themes, did you make them from scratch or are they based on snowflat?

Snowflat is a very stable theme. I don't think extending it serves any purpose other than changing the skin may be. Other themes are made using Bootstrap, Material design etc.

My experience developing the Mayro - Google Material Design Theme.

I first tried to change the snowflat Theme css but changing only the css of any theme is not giving me complete control over the design as i want.

Then I started from scratch, but for help I looked at the snowflat and donut theme php.

And based on Mayro Theme i developed Mayro Pro Theme.
