emails are not working with new installation

I am already running a q2a successfully without any problems. But yesterday I tried to install q2a on a new domain but email is not working. Even forgot password emails are not working. Feedback form and mailing test emails are showing message server error occured. Forgot password form is showing this error message

I tried both manual install and softaculous install. Both are showing the same errors.

Note: Webmail is working. Mass mailing is showing as complete but not sending any emails.

About 5 months ago I tried to install q2a 1.8 for a new domain, but had issues and it did not work. I had to delete all and install version 1.7x. Im not sure what the original problem was. Would like to do a new install for a domain but want to see if others have experienced any issues with a new/clean install?

Hello,

I have been using 1.7.5 for a while. Today I upgraded my server to PHP 7.1.x and Apache 4 version.

Right after upgrade, when a user tries to "Ask a question", I get the error below error . I read the latest 1.8 beta 2 release notes and said it was tested, so I upgraded to 1.8 Beta 2 as well, but I am still having the same error.

Also, when I try to respond / Answer to question , it gives the error with a pop-up. I checked console and it says 500 Error as well.

I run the html validator ( https://validator.w3.org ) through the Q2A home page and show many errors. Even here, the official Q2A page: http://www.question2answer.org/qa/

Scott are you aware of this?

I also thought to run HTML Validation in the new 1.8 version demo: http://demo18.question2answer.info/

Can we have Code syntax highlighting as core feature in 1.8?

Today I updated my Q2A answer site v 1.6.3 to v 1.7.0-beta-1 and I have several problems. (http://www.wikifirst.net/)

1. After I signed as Admin found that Layout, Posting, List, Plugin, Moderate, Hidden tabs are not working.

2. Text editor is not loading

3. Top scoring users page and badges page are not loading

When I try to visit Layout, Posting, List, Plugin, Moderate, Hidden tabs I received following error message

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

but I can visit other tabs under Admin.

I have updated to 1.5 today everything works fine and no issue. But I have noticed in my site there is no My Account link on the header after user name and also there is no 'Hello' text before user name.

1st how can I restrict my whole website accept the first page(home page) to unregistered users?

2nd Iam trying to implement chatroom into g2a where would I put php code? I do realize that costume pages only take html code. When I do ridirect to index.php it opens new page outside q2a theme.
