I want to restrict all the users including administrator or moderator from changing anything in the admin panel in my site. Because I want to show some demo in a public place and for this reason I have to share administrator credentials to the public. But I want to restrict all the users including administrator or moderator from changing anything in the admin panel. They should just view all of things but don't change anything. I want when they change anything in the admin panel and then click on "save options" then a pop-up will come and that pop-up should say "You can't change anything in the demo version".

How to move qa-config.php out of the directory as mentioned in security docs?

Move the qa-config.php file to a location which is outside any directory served by your web server. Then create a new qa-config.php file in its place which references the old file using the require PHP function. If your web server were to become misconfigured and start serving the raw code in .php files, this would ensure that your MySQL details remain hidden.

Hi all,
I immediately started using q2a and put to production w/out give any eye to the code.
Then I realized I needed some tweaks, and I gave I look inside..
Actually I did not take look in anyone else code since 20 years now, but I found this extremely difficult to follow, scattered , redundant and verbose (not in comment but in code)
what do you think ?

EDIT: What I did is adding two fields to the question...
I started reading from the part where sql does "insert into qa_posts .. " then following all class and functions upwords .. hard...
Then I discovered the "extra" field and I realized the only cheap and dirty, dont-think approach, was to add code to duplicate all "extra"s parts , looking for every "extra" appearing in the whole project. (in this VScode si great). This fixed the form part.
Wow, that was easy. Then came the part to show extra2 all over the lists and the questions. this took twice the time of the form/db part .
Total task was less than 3hr

Questions count not working on bulk upload

I have a custom script, which bulk uploads many questions straight into Q2A database.

It is working fine, except a few things.

question count number is not increasing (at the bottom of every page);
points are not being added to question author (it can be fixed by clicking the button id admin section, which recalculates points).

If I create question manually it is ok, stats updates to correct number and points are added.

So, there should be functions, which are called in order to update Q count and points, but I couldn't find any. Maybe someone can provide their names?
