Sampriti, I created a plugin with the help of AI. The platform is basically for asking many questions at the same time. The plugin has the following problem.Can anyone give me a solution?

Hi @Q2A Community...

I have just integrated Q2A blog plugin by JaxiroKe. But, after activating this plugin I got many error. and also there is no option of blog setting showing in Admin section. Can anyone solve this problem.

Q2A not create table when first running

First time I start running Q2A site but i got belows error in nginx error log:

Obviously, it has successfully connected to the database service, but has not accessed the specified table.
It looks the site not create required table in database at first running.

What I do:
Configure the site according to "https://docs.question2answer.org/install/".
Start php-cgi.exe, start nginx.exe, access index.php.
=> Got state code 500, got error above in error.log

What should I do?

Software version:
Q2A: 1.8.6
PHP: 8.1.8
nginx: 1.23.0
MySQL: 8.0.25

OS: windows 10

"Table 'dbname.qa_options' doesn't exist"

I've installed question2answer on a server from these instructions on an Ubuntu 22.04 server in AWS with Apache/2.4.52 and MariaDB Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.6.7-MariaDB. There are no plugins being used.

Whenever I get to step 9, I get a 500 error, and when I look at the logs, I see that I'm getting this error--

Uncaught mysqli_sql_exception: Table 'dbname.qa_options' doesn't exist in /var/www/html/qa-include/qa-db.php:227

I've double- and triple-checked the database credentials. And it also looks like qa_db_create_table_sql is not being called at all.

I see there are similar questions asked here through the years, but I'm finding no answers relevant to my setup.

I'm going to try to continue debugging this on my end to try to find out why this function isn't being called, but if anyone knows how to resolve this, please let me know.

Update: As a workaround, I put this at the beginning of qa_index_set_request() in qa-include/qa-index.php.

Infinite loading when delete question or post an answer

I get an infinite loading when I try to delete a hidden post or to post an answer, I noticed that while I'm trying to delete directly through the database I get this error message:

#1451 - Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails (`qa`.`qa_posts`, CONSTRAINT `qa_posts_ibfk_2` FOREIGN KEY (`parentid`) REFERENCES `qa_posts` (`postid`))

What to do when my mysql database runs out of storage space?

I have a q2a website and my host provider (hostinger) allows to create databases with a maximum disk space of 3GB. What will happen if the databases runs out of storage? Will the users be able to ask, answer and comment.

Is there any way to link the old and new database(which i can create) and get the new entries registered into the new database.

Database bug - shows wrong number of posts waiting to be moderate

Hello

As in the subject. If there's no posts waiting to be moderate it shows "Moderate (1)".

It's probably because I have recently accepted one post and then just immediately jumped to other page without waiting enough time to proceed the query well through the database.

What can I do with that issue now?

Note: I've done almost all of database clean-up operations, only without refill event streams (it stops in the middle of process and doesn't go any further).

EDIT: The main problem is solved
How? I don't know, it dissolved on its own. One time I've accepted a single post and then the number of posts waiting for approval just fixed. However, the option of refill event streams on stats page still seems to doesn't work properly (it stops during the process) but that doesn't cause any visible problems.

mysqli::error is empty

I am trying to set up Q2A inside a docker container (running Ubuntu 18.04). I am able to get it to connect to my (empty) DB, but am then running into problems with the installation. First off, if I just visit the base URL, I get this:

Your Question2Answer database has been checked with no problems.

Go to admin center

Clicking the link effectively does nothing as I get served up the same page again. Time to roll up the sleeves and go code diving.

After exploring for a while, I tried manually accessing the URL: index.php?qa=install

This then gave me:

Database set_charset error

Seemingly not very helpful on the surface, but what it has so far boiled down to is that the call to mysqli::set_charset() inside of qa_db_connect() is returning false, and yet mysqli::$errno and mysqli::$error are both empty immediately afterwards. Here is the code in question (from line 94 in qa-include/qa-db.php):

Googling this issue so far is turning up nothing helpful unfortunately. If I try setting up Q2A on my development server (in a Joomla sub-directory, incidentally) I don't run into these problems and get t the page prompting me to set up the database.

As far as I can tell, my docker container is configured correctly. I am using Apache, PHP-FPM (7.3) and have installed the following php extensions:

Lastly, out of curiosity, I tried ignoring the false return from set_charset and allowing the code to proceed. With that change, I then get a similar error on the first SQL query executed:

Again, the query called returned false and yet the error details are empty. Any clues greatly appreciated!

I've setup a Q&A using the following versions:

Ubuntu 18, (using NGINX)
Q&A version 1.8.3
MySQL 5.7
PHP 7.2

My authentication is via LDAP and it's working pretty good.

However, I noticed that when we try to add a new question, the following message pops out in the screen:

So I went to the logs [/var/log/nginx/error.log] and found the following issues:

"A database error occurred." when "Recount posts"

First I did direct import of posts to DB in phpmyadmin. So now I need recount, reindex etc.

Reindex content done, recalculate categories done, recalculate user points done. But when I start Recount posts its work ~300-350 k post (from 650 k ) and I take "A database error occurred."

I try start it in browser without JavaSript, but of course script can't work such long time.

How can I solve it?

And maybe somebody know good varints how do import of Q and A from CSV correctly, with all indexes? Read this https://www.question2answer.org/qa/1222/what-is-the-best-way-for-me-to-upload-lot-of-questions-to-the-db, but as I undestand its for old version and honestly hard for my understend.

UPD: starting process early morning, when server with minimal load - first part with recalculate votes and flags done, but second with answers and hotness broken again at ~50 000. Is it psible to turn off first part with votes and flags? Wich file have this function?
