Is it possible to configure Q2A to use a web service API in order to send emails, or is neccesary to make changes on the php code to acomplish this?

The web service has an endpoint in which I can post an email as payload.

when a new user is try to verify his email, he get a URL like this:

but when click on it, this error appear:

Why is my script unable to send mails to users?

My SMTP is not working at all and unable to send mails to users like forgotten password and so on

What do I need to do to make it work perfect because after checking questions n related to my issue on this platform they provide no accurate and solution to website problem someone should help me out.

Kindly check the error i got when testing the forgotten password and my SMTP configuration. Tell me where i need to work on pls

I am unable to send emails. Both Local and SMTP emails aren't working.
Registration email verification/confirmation is also not working. Emails aren't being sent.

I don't know where to check logs. Where are the logs located?

My version of PHP is 7.4 and I am using Nginx server.

When user try to verify email, after tapping confirm button in mysite.com/confirm, it says-

Hi

Email notofications stopped working, since about August 1st 2019. Nothing was changed in the admin page. Here are the settings:

Sender address for messages from site: no-reply@mywebsite.com

Email address for admin messages - not shown to users:(my email address )

CHECKED : Email this address when a question is posted

UNCHECKED : Provide a page for users to send feedback

UNCHECKED : Send email via SMTP instead of local mail

Hello!

I am having trouble understanding how to set up basic email usage. (I'm not exactly a newbie, but it's been a decade since I've really touched webdesign, so I actually am a re-newbie I guess!) I am having trouble getting info from my web-host, but I can answer most questions via info from the web-host's control panel/FAQ and phpinfo() or whatnot.

Settings on Q2A:
Administration center - Emails

Sender address for messages from site: no-reply@mysite.com
Email address for admin messages - not shown to users: xyz@hotmail.com
[_] Email this address when a question is posted
[X] Provide a page for users to send feedback
Privacy note for email addresses - HTML allowed: (default text message)
[_]Send email via SMTP instead of local mail

I'm using PHP 5.3.13 (php-cgi).

From phpinfo(), I can tell you:

Outgoing server port: 25
Outgoing server authentication: required (type: SMTP-AUTH / Password)

Username: user@mysite.com
Password: (known)

I've also tried running a basic php mail() file like:

And in any case, whether it's the confirmation email a new member should be sent, me as ADMIN trying to test the "mass_email portion" of the Q2A site by having it send me a test email, or this mail() PHP command that I've provided above, which was copied directly from the PHP help for the "mail()" function page, I get no "apparent" errors and yet I never receive the email at the expected email address (xyz@hotmail.com or whatever the new member's email addy was that I tried for a test.)

I think I've provided enough information, and will provide whatever else is necessary upon request, that someone could help me. I'll try whatever you think is best to try to troubleshoot the problem. My web-host is not very helpful in providing such information, so perhaps someone would be willing to talk me through my ignorance towards this matter. I would be quite grateful to get such assistance!

Email confirmation tool: Very useful, but it seems to miss the beautiful redirect of Q2A website

I have been testing the email confirmation tool and it works very well. However, it misses the Q2A redirect. Before that if I try to "ask a question" and I am not registered I was given the option to register and after registering I was returned to the page to "ask" a question. The same happened with several different pages. Basically, the q2a saved as a parameter "to" the page I had been before being directed to registration [see the kind answer of @pupi1985 about this http://www.question2answer.org/qa/43787/how-does-the-redirect-work-after-registration]. After turned on the email confirmation tool for my site, this redirect disappears.

1) Are people worried about this?

2) Is there a way to fix this?

Emails are not working at all

I've set up many of these platforms, all using local mail. They've all worked until now. I noticed the problem with user confirmation emails. I turned off required email confirmation but I still can't send out anything from the site.

I've tried sending a mass mailing to no avail. I get A server error occurred - please try again.

Any ideas?
