Just installed q2a1.7.4 and plugin ckeditor4.5.9_full. After submit with youtube video, the video won't show. Uploaded video won't show too. Just leaves a space area there. I checked the html source of the page, it use OBJECT/PARAM to embed the youtube. I use firefox and google chrome browsers.

I wanted to embed the youtube video of my new premium plugin:

But in the recent ckeditor (q2a v.1.7.3) this option was removed. Plus, I cannot access the HTML source, the button is missing too.

So, how to insert youtube videos then?

Hi all!

First of all sorry for my bad english.

I'm trying to embed a youtube video in an answer on version 1.7. But it s not worked.

Embed Youtube Plugin by NoahY does not work in version 1.7

And even on this site (question2answer.org/qa/) in this editor is not possible to download the video

I use the - WYSIWYG Editor v1.1.1

Please help me with this problem please.

Hi guys,

I am loving this q2a stuff and have quite happily styled it as necessary.

I am looking for a feature to embed Vimeo video into posts, i am using the markdown editor plugin, and have tried the video plugin by NoahY.

Am i supposed to see a place to insert a video link, or would i just paste into the markdown editor?

I have tried pasting in the link like :

neither do anything.

So, now that I figured out why my YouTube code was being scrubbed, I thought I would create a function to automatically convert YouTube links into YouTube embed code. This uses the new YouTube iframe code, not the old embed code. The plugin is here:

It works with the markdown editor generated code, but I haven't tested it with the wysiwyg generated code. Should be fine. It checks for the url in both questions and answers, with or without <a> tags surrounding them, and replaces them with the iframe content. It doesn't change the database entry, and can be switched off via the control panel. It can be extended to include other video sites, if someone can give me the two variables, i.e. the hyperlink and the code to replace it with.

I'm trying to embed a youtube video in an answer on v1.3.1.

I extracted the URL from the code generated by youtube (bolded):

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/W8r-tXRLazs?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And pasted it as Flash in WYSIWYG editor.

Still, video isn't shown.

Any ideas as for what I must be missing here? Thanks :)
