CKeditor saves in the database non-latin characters with HTML encoding

Hi

It seems that in my website, CKeditor saves in the database the Greek characters with HTML encoding (when the text is formated). ie, when the text is not formated, everything is saved as plain text.

So the Greek word Ευχαριστώ is saved like Ευχαριστώ

I have checked the database with phpmyAdmin, the HTML codes are there.

I tried adding these to the qa-plugin/wysiwyg-editor/ckeditor/config.js
config.entities_greek = false;
config.htmlEncodeOutput = false;

They did not help at all.

This meta tag is in the head section of the source code of the page:
<meta charset="utf-8">

I am using the default themes.

I tried disabling all the plugins. The problem remained.

There must be something about my site, since the same problem does not happen in this forum.

Hi,

ultimate SEO plugin puts some wierd letters in description tags instead of latin letters.

This is example:

U odgovorima mo&amp;amp;#382;ete napisati...

And this is how it should look like:

U odgovorima možete napisati...

As you can see there is &amp;#382; instead of ž

Is there way to solve that?

Problem with wiki plugin

E-mails in russian contains question marks

Subject and body of welcome e-mail on my fresh installed Q2A contains question marks, not words. But site name which I set via admin panel, displays in russian correctly at this e-mail.

So it definitely not a problem of mail client or server software. I think the problem appears at the PHP libraries level.

Does anybody encounter similar problems with other languages?

Weird encoding problem from phpMyAdmin

I'm trying to back up my q2a database using phpMyAdmin. If I backup qa_posts on its own everything works fine, but if I back up all the tables at once, there is some encoding problem - for example the é character shows as Ã© instead.

Any ideas why this might happen? Is one of the other tables causing a problem perhaps?

.htaccess file not OK

I followed http://www.question2answer.org/htaccess.php but it is still showed error as http://i48.tinypic.com/2vvt3sp.jpg because of using difference encoding as http://i49.tinypic.com/qriy2o.jpg . I do not know how to fix it in .htaccess . Do anyone know it?
