Is it possible to prevent linebreaks in comments? Thanks!

When i edit any answer it removes the line break.

Everything comes in a single line like a paragraph. I want to break lines. how to do this? is the problem with the editor? I am using wysiwyg-editor

I want to set forum which contains many math equations, using MathJax.

After I put an equation, it always append a line break: <br>, that makes line space too big and ugly.

How to remove this line break?

As i wrote yesterday, line breaks work with comments but not with question and answer fields. Now i am with my Android phone posting this question. I expect that my 3 empty lines get removed after submitting the form. Let's see. If so then we have definitely a bug in q2a. Kai

I guess this is a bug? Happens in question post, answer post, comment post:

1. Have the wysiwyg editor enabled by default.

2. load your page with javascript disabled, so that not the wysiwyg appears but the textarea

3. post content with line breaks

The result: The text content gets posted in one line. All line breaks get removed.

Where is the problem?

This problem occured with one of my user. She said she has a bad internet connection and the editor did not load. Then she posted content which got a one-liner. This happens to her frequently, she said.

Best way to prevent too many line breaks in posts?

Some users do like this:

I would like to filter line-breaks and reduce such spaces.

In HTML it is:

<p> </p>
<p> </p>
...

I can find these posts with mysql like that:

SELECT * FROM `qa_posts` WHERE `content` LIKE '%<p> </p>\n<p> </p>%'

However, is there a way to filter posts when posted?

How would you do it?

PS: All <p> </p> <p> </p> in a row should become one: <p> </p>
