I have integrated qa with a wordpress site using the standard integration install .

When I attempt to link to a user profile page directly from my wordpress site the qa site responds with the profile page BUT the user shows as not logged in on the qa site.

This doesnt happen when I link to the 'ask a question' page - that opens correctly and the user is correctly logged in.

IS there a way to link correctly to the qa user profile so that they can see the page and be logged in? Have I missed some requirement in how I have to link to this?

I am trying to provide my users with direct access to the various profile section ( Profile page, Account settings page, Wall page, PM page, Favorites page) by giving a separate link menu from the sidebar of every page of the site.

But the Issue is my created link menu shown to everyone on site. I just want to show only to logged-in users to give them easy access.

is there any plugin available that shows widgets based on user level or any other solution that can archive my goal?

I updated the version from 1.7.4 to 1.8.3

I have problems with uploading the user profile and avatar. A warning that says "Please click again to confirm" comes up.

Left side of the User Profile is missing

Hi,

I have a Q2A installation with WordPress integration.

When a User is goint to his Q2A profile page all the things on the left side are missing (Profile image... password change).

Is there any idea why?

Hi,

Is it possible to have extra email for moderators (except the one they have already)?

It's because when moderators are on vacation/change job we would like to continue receiving emails and respond to our customers as quick as possible. So we want to set employees emails + shared email and therefore we are safe in terms we are not missing any feedback from customers.

We of course consider to make a redirects but before we do that, we would like to know if is is possible to do.

Here are few things I'm thinking for user profile page. started this thread because of this question

We can have followers and following.
Show his favorite questions, show his questions with best answers(latest first).
Show verified profile on page.
User Wall can be converted to twitter like messages so that user can promote his questions to his followers. Once questions is gone from first page then only search can find it. This will help to get more pageview for site.
Show Badges or rewards on user page, they can show their expertise. I feel this is one of the most important feature for any QA site. Reward users.
Any special title given by admin (we can think of adding custom title for users, we can use same here on Q2A site also ...like member of "Development team", "Testing Team" "Project Lead" "Moderator" etc...this can be without raising his permission on QA site )

Add thanks/Like button similar to fb like button for every answer. Lets says if user answers any question then other user can just say thanks/Like to him by clicking button for his answer. We can list number of Answer Thanks/Likes they received on profile page.

I'm not sure when these will be implemented by Scott or Pupi1985 but let us just list down for feature Q2A version.

Getting the favorite button out of the H1 on the user profile page

I am redesigning (structure) the user page and got stuck because the Favorite Form contains the H1 and the input field for the favorite action.

This makes it very difficult to move the form or even moving the input field to another position does not work, since it is not in the form anymore.

My advice: Have the H1 standing alone (!) and the favorite form behind.

PS: And no, I cannot override function page_title_error() because I am using this function in many other plugins. And in this function we have:

            $this->output('<h1>');
           $this->favorite();
           $this->title();
           $this->output('</h1>');

Which causes the issue.

Update: Furthermore I cannot "touch" the *text* of h1 separately. The CSS always effects all elements within the H1.

I think it should be in qa-theme-base.php:

            $this->output('<h1>');
           $this->title();
           $this->output('</h1>');
           $this->favorite();

With an enclosing DIV around these elements.

Hi. In the profile user page i would like to reposition the "Website Field" and the "Send Message Button" to the top of the page. How can i add do that ??
