How to show multi-level category menu like this? This will give good user experience and easy navigation to categories.

Currently, Multilevel menu shows only in sidebar and only if we click on the menu.

I think multi-level menu for the category should be displayed through ajax call on hover or click. But currently, it shows on page reload after click.

First with the ?show id ----->> like - example.com/title-content?show= 244

and second without show ---->> like - example.com/title-content

I am sharing a screenshot.

As you can see in the above screenshot. The same page indexed two times in google search result.

first with -

example.com/postitle?show=244

and second

example.com/post-title

How to remove or block Show?=244 and /qa/login?to=239%2 urls from indexing . It will create any problem or not. The same page indexed two times with the show? and login?

Please suggest the best.

Now there is an option to show question pages only to registered members.

Hello

I just wanted to explain how to integrate with vbulletin the easy way ..

this short how to show that it can be done and how its done ..

first install the questions to answers enabling the QA_EXTERNAL_USERS in qa-config.php

now after installing the script ..

we need to create integrate.php file ..

define('VB_AREA', 'Forum');

define('CWD', 'path/to/vbulletin');

require_once(CWD . '/includes/init.php');

//$vbulletin->userinfo

?>

only edit path/to/vbulletin to your forum path .. for example /home/questions/public_html/vb/

and put it inside your vbulletin directory

now ..

replace qa-external-users.php with this file

download from here

edit line 51

include "/home/admin/forums/integrate.php";

and replace /home/admin/forums/integrate.php with the real path to integrate.php file inside vbulletin directory

and upload the file to the qa-external directory

and offcourse you need to make sure that the cookie in the vbulletin goes to the questions to answers ..

because the modification here based on the vbulletin core ..

script are showing as single row wise in the question post page

When I creating my post to ask something , sometimes it may consists of programming script but those scripts are showing row wise. Its really an ugly look. That is the code part when I typed on wysiwyg editor it will showing each row wise. How can shown the whole code in an single code background.

i add this function for show widget only in main page, but when click in category link(main page) i see my widget in category question list. how to show widget only in main page?

This has been asked a couple times... but I haven't seen any answers yet.

At this moment, some pages show the list, others don't.

I'm talking about this function:

Seems like a bug to me in this version, as in 1.4 the list did show-up everywhere.

How to use category name, not subcategory name

I want to use the name of a category for a post to appear on the front browsing page of posts, not a subcategory. I'm not sure how that is possible because of the way the code seems to be constructed. For example, I have a category "Cars" and a subcategory "Audi". The post gets displayed with the subcategory "Audi" when I just want it to use the main category of "Cars" for posting.

The code that does this is in qa-app-format.php - using categoryname shows the subcategory name. The backpath shows the path/url.

I dont get the below error

"To use reCAPTCHA, the fsockopen() PHP function must be enabled on your server. Please check with your system administrator."

I dont have any problem with my site. I have already set the permissions right. I have checked my private and public keys many times. But i still dont get my recaptcha to show in posts for visitors.

It shows in registration page. But not in posts. Is that a layout issue or something?

Hi,

I want to add a Page for Reporting the number of questions asked, and answers given, in a specific period of time (say past 1 hour, or past 1 month).

I've decided to make a plugin for the same. What I need though is, when I add my plugin page as a Tab, the Tab is shown only to a Moderator or Administrator (Just like the "Admin" Tab).

There's no option however for the same in the "Pages" Section of Admin Interface. Can anyone tell me how the same can be achieved? I guess I need to change some php page for the same, but which one and what?
