When I upload an image, some wide images appear really small and are not readable. I changed the max image width from 600 to 1200 in qa-plugin/wysiwyg-editor/qa-wysiwyg-upload.php. Now the images are clearer. But to see that, that I have to right click on the image, copy the link and open in a new tab.

I want to provide a link for all images. When that link is clicked, it should open the image directly, preferably in a new tab.

Max upload size is still 2MB after changing WYSIWYG editor option to 16MB

I've changed the setting at WYWSWYG editor and also at my PHP setting (confirmed by Phpinfo) to accept up to 16MB and 20MB in size respectively.

But I still get error that max file size is 2MB when I upload a file beyond that. How to fix this?

There seems to be an ultimate max size of 16MB (See this, http://nimb.ws/4ah6dn). I've increased my PHP max_upload_filesize limit to 20MB. How could I do the same at the editor?

What is a reasonable size for qa_contentwords?
Is there a way to limit the size somehow?

I am aware there is no answer like XYZ MiB, but for example my current question2answer site has 10,452 estimated entries (phpmyadmin) in contentwords with a size of 4,3MiB or 4,5MB and qa_posts has 592 KiB, qa_words 448KiB. Is this a reasonable size or is something maybe flooding my table with spam? Are these still reasonable ratios?

I ask because the site is under constant spam, flooding and botnet attacks with thousands calls a day since it got listed in some spam provider after the flyspray bug report tool had a security leak and after that the mediawiki I hosted there. Once you are listed, you get a lot of scans and attacks :D

The default max size file upload is 2 MB. Where do I adjust this to increase the file size?

I am using the Extra Question field plugin and tried changing the size in the admin options. However it does not change and remains at 2 MB.

I would like to increase this to 8 MB.

Is my database size normal with these numbers?

My site has 85 users, 112 questions, 141 answers, and 557 comments. Yesterday I moved All uploaded files from the database to disc. Despite all these low numbers, the Admin/Stats section shows that the database size is now 10.7 MB which seems to be a bit huge.

Is this databse size normal?

I am not sure if this asked before, searched but could not find the answer....

When question owner uploads and image, most of the time image is too small, people cannot read or see clearly to answer, is there a way to make image upload a large size, or put a thumbnail and when user click full size pops up????

Bug? No error message if uploading big file for Avatar

If I upload an image file (eg: 3MB) for avatar. It will take some time to process and refresh the page. Then nothing happens and the avatar stays the same. There should be some error message like File Exceeds Max Size at least let user know what to do next.

And also if I'm trying to upload a BMP file where is no error message too.

I tried under this site too. The above problems exist here.

Anyone come acress the same problem and any idea?

Savely Reducing the q2a Database Size (when not using q2a's search)

I am still having issues with the database size. Having a daily backup running gives me huge files on my server.

1. Running on 1.5.4 mod I have 260 MB for qa_blobs ← this will be reduced to 0 after I upgrade and mirgrate all images from blob to harddrive ✓

2. I still see qa_contentwords getting bigger and bigger. Today I emptied it to save up to 200 MB. As far as my investigation goes this table is only used for the internal search. I changed the search to Google Custom search engine, so I don't need it anymore.

3. Also qa_words is not needed using the other search engine, as far as I know.

Instead of manually emptying both tables, I would like to prevent q2a writing to them.

** Note: I cannot truncate qa_words, instead I get the mysql error message:

#1701 - Cannot truncate a table referenced in a foreign key constraint (`db123`.`qa_contentwords`, CONSTRAINT `qa_contentwords_ibfk_2` FOREIGN KEY (`wordid`) REFERENCES `db123`.`qa_words` (`wordid`))

Me and others once tried to find out which tables are not needed, but without a clear solution.

@gidgreen: It would be nice if you implement an option that qa_contentwords and qa_words and other tables related to the q2a search can be "switched off".

/admin/stats shows me that my database is 118.1 MB big, and I have 2,454 questions at the moment.

My site loads in about 1 sec. Google Analytics shows me a page speed of about 2 sec. Not bad!

Question out of interest: What is your size, how many questions, and what about your performance?
