When will the new version be released?
I have suggested changes to the site that need to be done.
1) When a user sends a post, he waits for the administrator's approval and the administrator must approve his post.
Here, facilities should be created so that if the post needs to be edited, a command will be sent under the post to the user who can edit his own post and if it is finalized, the administrator will publish it.
And the user can see his published and unpublished posts on a page, and also see the reason why his posts are not published, so that he can correct them for the administrator to publish.

2) Login and registration be on the same page :

It is better both in same page.

3) it is possible to log in through a mobile phone so that the user can enter the site without entering a password and using a mobile phone and a OTP code. that enable or disable from admin panel.

4)Any user If does not upload an image for their avatar, an image with the first letter of the name or username as the default avatar. default avatar with a letter and random color in background:

Hello

I noticed today that a new update (1.8.7) has been released for the Q2A.

But there is a note added by @svivian saying "Note: if your server still uses PHP 5.x, you must use the provided zip file and not the master branch from the GitHub repo, as the repo now uses PHP 7 features."

I don't quite understand what is meant by this note?

hi, im trying to revive my q2a website which my teammate made last 2011. i have the files but when i try to run it using xampp web server. it will give me an error 'database connect error'. i already tried making a database named 'qa' but still it wont connect. maybe its because of the php version? i dont know, can you help me? thanks!

I moved from version 1.5.2 to 1.8.2,

there are two differences that I observing

1. The number of points of an user is different in old and new version

2. I very few questions is observed diff in number of views in the new version, which is one less.

I am looking for reason behind these two observation so that I can upgrade to a new version.

After making changes to the style sheet theme, I used to just upload the new style sheet and Google Chrome will pick up the changes.

MS Edge and IE are working OK, automatically updating to the latest version style sheet, but Chrome is not doing that.

How do I change the version number of the style sheet? Q&A is using the Q&A version number.

there are lots of theme, plugins on the q2a web markets and here. How can we know is it responsive with q2a 1.7.4 ? Must we try all ? You know on wordpress website, they say if the plugin version fit with newest wordpress version.

The important feature is that have to make the admin able to put delay between posting Q,A,C from the admin control panel like vBulletin and other scripts

That because the member click many times quickly on the ask or answer button the question or answer will be posted many times see the screenshot :

And the second issue that have to be resolved is that the admin of the website when set the new entries under moderate mode have to check many thousands of entries daily to approve or decline its

So that it have to be checked by more than one person so the moderate section must be contain page numbering :

It will not be the final solution for the issue but it is good because every admin will check a page
