No, I do not know that, but I can confirm that google works very well with this script. On one installation I have about 10 questions daily, and all these Questions are added to the google index within 48 hours max.
I am linking to this page just very few times, but google automatically revisits the site often, as google knows that the content changes daily.
Would be happy to have this behaviour on my blogs at least. Hope this helps a little bit.

Google should monitor the RSS feed on the site and update its index accordingly. Remember, pinging new pages to Google doesn't mean they will index them instantly.
It's also a good idea to set up a Webmaster Tools account at
http://www.google.com/webmasters/
You can add your feed there as a sitemap and Google should keep its index of your site fairly fresh.

now a days Google and other search engines monitor RSS for site update, as long as rss is on it should be fine.
