does Question2Answer work on Yahoo without .htaccess upload?

0 votes
i installed Q2A on my yahoo web hosting server. Following three files could not be uploaded to server (due to yahoo restrictions):

1 .DS_store

2 .htaccess

3 qa-plugin\wysiwyg-editor\.htaccess

But inspite of above 3 failed uploads, the script seems to be working fine. Is that possible? Is there some issue which i am unable to understand?

First, the .DS_store file is a hidden file on Macs and is not part of Q2A. It's not in the Q2A download.

The .htaccess file is not absolutely necessary but it makes the URLs friendlier and more optimized for search engines. But Q2A works without it.
