I'd like to understand why it is so "obvious" that the issue is with the hammer and not with the hand.

I took a quick look at your site and it loaded quite fast... and it even displayed a JS error: "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ;". That is not part of Q2A, that is something your hands added :)
