Clarification for upgrade

While upgrading Q2A, I should delete (and replace with new) all the files BUT for qa-config.php, isn't it?

I was able to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.2.1. I deleted all old files including qa-config.php file, copied new files, renamed qa-config-example.php as qa-config.php and added the database details in the new qa-config.php file. The transition (so far!) was smooth, and the upgrade did not ask me any other thing.
