Can I add links buttons to the nav bar

not 100% sure if this isa question for core or plugins so sorry if is in the wrong place.

Id like to add more links/ buttons to the navigation bar to create a menu that can link to pages on my Wordpress site. Is this possible? Im using snowflat as my base theme.
