After working as a paralegal for over five years, I left the field of law and revisited my favorite pastime, writing - and has never looked back. I hold a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Atlanta and have taken numerous postgraduate courses in writing and editing.

My work has appeared in a variety of publications for children and adults, including Boys’ Quest, Learning Through History, Our Little Friend, Stories for Children, and Wee One's Magazine. In addition, I have written and published four historical books - Steel Glory: The Life of Shipbuilder Arthur Sewall (biography), From Down East to Midwest: The Memoirs of Margaret Sewall Hector (memoir), Saving the Schooner (young adult historical fiction), and Fire Runner (young adult historical fiction). I am a longtime member of the Society of Books Writers and Illustrators.
