Automatically tags recognizer

Question

Can site admin enter some list of important tags with sininims so they will automatically reconize from every question and will be placed as a tag?

Some user don't like to put correct tags, but this is a way to make it automatically.

Any opinions?

Good idea. I think there should also be some good manual tag-editing functionality too. For example, if I look through the 1x use tags, there are many misspellings or bad phrasing. So it would be nice to easily rename/delete every tag in the list.
