This can be implemented via a plugin with an event module.

For Twitter, Twitterfeed works great.

Yes, this is an option but imagine that any user in your site is able to post to his own twitter or facebook..

Nice Idea for posting a question on our Facebook Wall automatically. Have anyone try with this event module.
