I noticed in some Q&A's that there are various plug-ins not in the official plug-in list. Is there a master list of these somewhere? So that we can all benefit from them, it would be very helpful to have a master list, and it would also be helpful if there were a process by which they could be more quickly evaluated and added (when appropriate) to the list of official plugins.

One place you can check is on Github, these two accounts have a lot of plugins:

https://github.com/svivian/ (mine)
https://github.com/NoahY

Note, there are no guarantees that every repo there is in a good stable state.

Aside from that, there was a list on the Q2A wiki, but it's not really in a good state and is quite outdated.

Github is definitely the place to look - run a search for the string "q2a-" in repositories with PHP as the language filter and you find a whole host of related repositories: https://github.com/search?langOverride=PHP&language=&q=q2a-&repo=&start_value=1&type=Repositories

So it seems to me that it would benefit the community greatly if there were a more systematic and expeditious process for submitting, evaluating, and officially listing plug-ins. I hope Gideon can comment on this (and I think he may have already done that somewhere).

I list any plugin on the add-ons page that I'm emailed about, unless it seems to be abusive in some way. It would be great to have an automated submission system, but considering the current number of plugins, it's not the highest priority.

Correct.

When I got an idea of a missing q2a.feature I use google search to find it, if it does not exist, I either request it here in the forum or build it by myself...

Note that gidgreen said he lists plugins that he's emailed about, not that are simply mentioned in the Q2A site.
