can you sell points?

Question

I've been searching with no luck for the answer to this. Can you sell points? (as the site owner). We would like to give people enough points to ask, say, 5 questions. If they then want to ask any more they need to use their points. If the points balance is zero then they would need to "top up" by purchasing more points.

Does anyone know of a plugin for this?

this sounds like an interesting idea for a plugin, the possibility to buy points. Although its structure would depend on a lot of things and how the website is managed and structured in order to this plugin have some value
