how can I add messages page to v1.6.3 ?

I want to add messages page on my q2a page but I can not update to v1.7 because I have modified a lot of files, how can I add only messages page to version 1.6.3 ? thanks for answers

The only thing I can think is to look at the commits on GitHub and find the ones with the changes for messages.

In future I'd suggest you look into plugins, theming, and overrides to accomplish what you want. I'm certain that at least 90% of your mods can be done with those.
