Jatin, very nice theme. Thanks! I feel it will be good if you keep current Snow theme as is and name this theme as something else so that there will be two themes for Q2A. Please let me know your views.

Actually, I would prefer to keep the new version is Snow. It is not just only the look but some other things also I have modify in theme.

Once theme released, I will make a rode map for the theme for few future version. If folks need another free theme similar to Snow 1.7, I will make it as I get time but this I would prefer to be as Snow.

Please keep sharing your thoughts..

Yes I know what you mean. I may add one additional class just to use for the developers. What do you think?

For latest update on Q2A, I am using dev version from github (alpha) but didn't updated since month or so. So if there is any changes during the month than I may need to pull it.

I am waiting for Scott for core version release date. If it will be late than I would prefer to release Snow 1.7 so user will start to use and bug fixing, once core released than I will modify with the require changes.

I'm not 100% sure adding the CSS class would help much because developers control the <form> tag and the CSS for the section applies to a <div> that contains the form and the <h1> title. I think all a developer will need is to be able to add new sections (already possible through the core) and be displayed in the left or right columns (this can be achieved by developers by looking at the CSS code of your theme). So I guess all you need to do is to double check the theme (as a whole) doesn't break when adding more sections on both columns (I made a quick test with the Chrome inspector and I could successfully add a new section to the right side and it looked good and nothing else broke or got not properly aligned in the page!).

PS: I'm hiding previous messages, I didn't want to make so much noise in comments :)

Since every section has dedicated class. So reusing any class may create some issue. Means using class could be advantage or disadvantage. So I think that is better idea to create one rule which I will add into documentation. So developer can refer it to use for their new section.

@ProThoughts, @Folks

If I release it as new theme. Do you have any suggestion for good name?
by
@Jatin Based on look of theme I can think of these names: Galaxy, Responsive, Sapphire, Blue Mist, Elegance, or Twenty Fourteen.

How about Blocks Responsive Theme.

Hi Jatin,
Is the mobile snow theme meant to be responsive? It doesn't seem to be responsive on the mobile devices I'm using...
by
Yes Snow Theme 1.7 (Named SnowFlat) is a responsive theme. Make sure you set it for Mobile also in Admin > General setup.
by
Ahhhh it's the Snowflat theme that is meant to be responsive - I thought it was snow - I'll try that - thanks Jatin.
